Joel Brandon | Upper School Literature
Joel joins the Veritas faculty this year in the Upper School. After receiving his B.A. in English from the University of South Carolina in 1978 and teaching briefly at the university, he obtained his J.D. degree from the USC School of Law in 1988. Joel decided to return to teaching after 16 years of practicing law in Greenville, receiving his Master of Arts in Teaching (Middle Grades) from Clemson University in 2005. Thereafter, he taught and coached at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Greenville for 17 years; most recently, he has taught as an Adjunct Instructor at Greenville Technical College. Joel's wife, Stacy, is President, Bank of America Upstate Market, Greenville, where they have lived for the past 34 years while raising two children. They are members of Buncombe Street Methodist Church.
